Leadership in Running Fitness
A one day Leadership Training course which qualifies and insures leaders to deliver safe and fun running sessions, suitable for Running Club Leaders and other Group Leaders.

The Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) course will enable you to deliver fun and safe sessions to multi-ability groups and give advice and support to the new runner, as well as developing pathways for those who want to progress. It focuses on understanding and overcoming barriers to participation in running and how to increase participation by those not traditionally attracted to a running club.
Course Duration: 1 day
Minimum Age: The minimum age to attend this course is 18 years old
Welfare and Safeguarding: To be insured having taken this course it is a legal requirement that you also apply for and gain the relevant safeguarding check provided by your Home Country. The process for this varies between England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

There are discounts available for Leader in Running Fitness courses and these vary between courses run by each of the home countries:
Individuals who are affiliated to an England Athletics club can receive a £20 discount for this course. To receive your discount:
If your club secretary has already registered you as a coach working for the club with England Athletics this discount will be applied automatically at check out.
Alternatively, to gain your discount, at check out select your club from the options in the first box and then type the corresponding Club URN in the second box. You can get the club URN from your club secretary or another administrator at your club.
Welfare & DBS
To be insured having taken this course it is a legal requirement that you also apply for a disclosure check with the relevant authority in your Home Country (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales.
